Brisbane also is a mecca for sports fans. Brisbane has 8 different teams that play within its limits, covering six different sports, including rugby and cricket. The city has hosted numerous events throughout the years, including events from the 2000 Sydney Olympics, 1992 Cricket World Cup, and the 2001 Goodwill Games.
